Hiking: National Park Garajonay

Our hike starts near the entrance to "Garajonay" National Park, declared World heritage by the UNESCO. Under a dense crown of enormous bay trees we hike on silent paths through the ancient laurel forest full of lush vegetation and majestic ferns. You learn about unique species only living on La Gomera and the Macaronesian Islands, tradicional uses of this forest and maedical herbs. In the heart of the forest we stop at a nice picnic aerea for a break. Sometimes the clouds of the trade winds turn the area into a mysical ambience. On our way and when the weather allows it we will enjoy impressive views to the nearby valleys.
